History of Cheryl's Diner

When the owners, Lanny and Cheryl Borthick, moved to the Kernville area over 45 years ago, a part-time waitressing job quickly became the dream of opening her own restaurant for Cheryl.

The two began plans for the restaurant which was finally ready to open in January 1985.

Employees are like close family at the restaurant and during the summer season you may see the children of employees coming to work to earn some money, too.

Visit Cheryl's Diner seven days a week from 7 am to 8 pm.

Menu Information

Cheryl's is known for their burgers, and the most popular option by far is their Western Burger. When you combine it with the chili cheese fries, you're all set!

Check the daily specials and stop in on Friday for all you can eat fish and chips or Saturday for all you can eat spaghetti at lunch and ribs for dinner.

If you are looking for something warm and hearty, then try their house made chili.

Cheryl's Diner has entrees that will fit any family budget with dishes ranging from $5 to $20.00.

The service was great and the food was wonderful. Great place to stop for breakfast or lunch (we had both) and even got to visit the fire station next door. From the blueberry pancakes to the club sandwich with fries, a must stop when in Kernville.

Cheryl’s is a great little diner/coffee shop located downtown Kernvile on the Main Street through town, good food at great prices with good portions served here. Cheryl Borthick is the owner / manager she is a charming hardworking lady that takes care of her customers. I always eat outside on the patio so I can watch the world go bye , very pleasant down home atmosphere even with the tourists being there.
